Choose people . . . who will not flinch when the battle is fierce, . . .
who won't acquiesce at the bargaining table or compromise in principle;
choose people who won't retreat on the battle field, . . .
people who won't sell out for lucre or convenience.
Choose people who won't be bought, bartered, or badgered by the enemy; . . .
people who will go the distance � pay the price � suffer the loss � make the sacrifice ...
stand the ground . . .and hold high the torch of conviction in the face of pressure.
Choose people obsessed with principle instead of pleasure, . . .
committed to truth instead of ease; choose people true to eternal principles,
stripped of self-seeking with their yen for security, . . .
people who will pay the high price of freedom . . . and go any lengths for truth.
Choose people delivered from mediocrity; people with vision, pride-low, faith-wide,
love-deep, and patience-long; . . .
people who will dare to march to the drumbeat of a different drummer;
people who will not surrender right for a mess of pottage,
or run from trials and evade conflict.
Choose people more interested in scars instead of medals, work instead of leisure,
challenge instead of easy projects, and in winning instead of just a tie.
Choose people who will give their lives for a moment in time; . . .
Choose people who are fearless in the face of danger, calm in the midst of criticism.
Choose people who will pray earnestly, work long, speak clearly, fight bravely,
love ridiculously, and wait patiently; . . Choose people whose walk is by faith,
whose behavior is by principle, whose dreams are God's, and whose directions are forward!
Choose people whose strength is equal to the task, . . .
people who won't fade under the searchlight of the enemy,
who won't fear at the shouting of the opposition,
who won't bend under the heavy load of responsibility.
Choose people willing to be a minority, to stand for the unpopular cause,
who can perform without approval and applause,
who can stay in the battle without being stroked, thanked, awarded or promoted.
Choose people willing to forfeit personal preference for the higher cause,
personal rights for deeper responsibilities, and convenient comfort for consecrated convictions.
Choose people of character, impeccable integrity and response-ability.
