Vaccine Reactions in the News

<<< Back to Vaccines

Two major articles on vaccine risks are in magazines on the newstands right now: Mothering Magazine and People Magazine.

In a cover article in the current Sept/Oct 2004 issue of Mothering Magazine, NVIC co-founder and president, Barbara Loe Fisher, discusses the association between increased vaccination of children and the dramatic rise in chronic disease and disability in children in the past quarter century. In the article, she describes what happened when her healthy, bright two and a half year old son, Chris, regressed his fourth DPT shot in 1980 and was left with multiple learning disabilities and ADD. She also talks about the many vaccine reaction reports that NVIC has taken over the past 22 years and outlines the central issues of the vaccine safety debate as more and more American children regress and become learning disabled, autistic, asthmatic, diabetic and chronically ill with other brain and immune system disorders following receipt of mandated vaccines.

In the current issue of People Magazine (Sept. 27, 2004), an article entitled "Desperate Measures" parents talk about how their healthy children regressed into autism after vaccination. Mike and Lynne Koufakis and Lyn and Tommy Redwood talk about how their sons regressed in autism after routine vaccinations. Both couples point to the mercury preservative, thimerosal, as responsible for their children's brain injuries. Lyn Redwood is co-founder of SafeMinds, which advocates for elimination of mercury in vaccines and other products.

In the meantime pediatricians are claiming mercury is good for you. Neanderthal pro mercury dentists ought to love this one....- CW
