Congressman Dan Burton's Subcommittee on Human Rights and Wellness
will hold another hearing on dental mercury on Monday, January 26th, 2004, at 2 pm. This will be the fourth Congressional hearing on dental mercury and the first to be held outside of Washington, DC. The location this time will be in Los Angeles whose representatives in congress include Rep. Diane Watson, chief author of the bill HR 1680 which would ban dental mercury. Please publicize this hearing especially to all activists in or near Los Angeles who may be able to attend the hearing. Members of the California Dental Board have been asked to appear before the committee.
The hearing begins at 2:00 pm pacific time, January 26th, at the University of
Southern California, in the Town and Gown Room. 665 Exposition Blvd, Los Angeles,
CA. Parking available at Jefferson Blvd and Figueroa Street Parking Lot "T."

We also have word that the California Dental Board will be meeting at a hotel in Sacramento, CA, on Thursday and Friday, Jan 29th and Jan 30th. Activists are encouraged to attend that, too. We'll pass on more details as we get them.
