Patient comment to Skeptical Rheumatologist

This following is a very powerful statement about many mainstream clinicians.

A very nice woman called in to tell us the story of her experience with a very prominent BC rheumatologist. A couple of years ago she had asked her rheumatologist if he would be okay with her trying Recovery. He said he wanted her on a two year course of prednisone. She took Recovery anyway and revisited the rheumatologist a few weeks later. She asked again if she could just try Recovery. He said no and again stated that he wanted her on Prednisone. However, her blood work showed a dramatic drop in her overall ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) having dropped from a level of 60 to only 10. This would be used by a rheumatologist and a drug maker to show success of therapy. The only problem was that she was only on Recovery.

She said to the rheumatologist �look at my sed rate � I am only on Recovery�. He said, �That is an absolute coincidence!� She said �Don�t give me that crap! You have seen my sed rate and nothing has helped!� He subsequently FIRED his patient!

Her comment to us was �Obviously his ego is much more important than my health�.

Interestingly enough, this doctor has apparently changed his mind on Recovery in the past year.
