I am not sure we would have enough to say about these hearings in order to
make a presentation, but believe that there needs to be a detailed
investigation
into the adverse incident reports, before any hasty changes are made in the
supplement legal area. Dr Reynolds presented excellent information about
the
adverse events associated with Vit B 6 at a symposium sponsored by CRN
last fall. According to Jim Roza, our representative, he showed that many
adverse
events concerning B 6 were flawed. Our firm is willing to help fund future
studies
like this, or to cover expenses of experts to appear at hearings like Sen
Durbin's.
There is also a substantial amount of data accumulated by Ron Law from New
Zealand, and this should be inserted into the record of the hearings.
The relative risk/benefits of some of the other risks permitted in a free
society
such as tobacco, alcohol, firearms, and OTC pharmaceuticals need to be put
into context with supplements. Time is short, but hopefully health freedom
advocates will be able to present good information at this hearing.
