What have I been doing lately, you ask? PLENTY! Due to the vicious & ceaseless attacks by homosexual activists on the very foundations of our society - this time on the institution of marriage itself - all of us concerned people have been forced to work overtime defending our precious heritage. As for me, I have been mighty busy - besides sending daily e-mails etc - fending off attacks by the local homophiles in local papers. I have written to all Niagara papers on the "same-sex marriage" tsunami. My letter below was published yesterday (July 18) in the St. Catharines Standard, the largest paper in Niagara. In this letter I was mainly responding to a front page article in the Standard which described in glowing terms the support of the United "Church" for "same-sex marriage" ('tis interesting to note that the Standard - a typical liberal paper - virtually ignored the views of Bible-rooted traditional pastors like Rev. Tristan Emmanuel, who is well known in Niagara)

-----------------

LETTER TO THE EDITOR (original letter sent to St. Catharines Standard and published - in a drastically shortened and revised form - on July 18/03)

The homosexual sociologists/activists Marshall Kirk & Hunter Madsen wrote the book "After the Ball: How America will conquer its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 1990s". This is the famed "Homosexual Agenda", Bible of 'gay' activists. In it the authors fiendishly and cleverly spell out their agenda - an important part of which is designed to infiltrate and indoctrinate the liberal elements within the Church. The leaders of the United Church in Canada, for example, have bought into this agenda hook, line and sinker.

Allow me to show why the shepherds of the United Church are leading their flock astray. They are not being true to Christ and the holy scriptures. Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, taught clearly that the institution of marriage was ordained by God to be only between man and woman to the exclusion of others.

He told us in Mark 10:6, "But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So, they are no longer two but one..."

With these words, Jesus affirmed the teaching of Genesis 1:27 and 2:24, where God articulated the foundational principles of human sexuality: "male and female united (as) one flesh."

Thus, all human sexual relationships were to be monogamous, life-long, heterosexual unions as blessed by God. This core principle is re-inforced in Matthew 19:4; 1 Corinthians 6:16; Ephesians 5:31.

To put it bluntly, marriage is between Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

The sin of homosexuality is clearly condemned in Genesis 19:1-29; Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13; Romans 1:24-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 etc. All major religions of the world consider homosexuality a sin.

We as free citizens of a free country have a civic duty to expose the promotion of the homosexual agenda by the United Church, other mainline liberal churches and left-liberal institutions. We must tell the truth to our fellow Canadians about the health dangers and harmfulness of the homosexual lifestyle and its agenda.

Yours sincerely,

Since the Standard had splashed the picture of the minister of the United Church who advocated "gay marriage" on its front page, my little local paper in Fonthill tried to outdo its larger competitor by splashing a picture and a headline on its front page of a local flaky New Age professor at Brock University nearby who happens to be a lay chaplain of the equally flaky Unitarian "Church." This "lay chaplain cum New Age professor" made such outrageous remarks about the Bible and Christianity that I was forced to respond to him forthwith. For example, he claimed the Bible says nothing about "homosexual marriages". So, I fired off a variation of the above letter to my Fonthill paper.

Then, on another front in Niagara, a misguided "Catholic" woman (fresh from pro-'gay' indoctrination at a liberal university) attacked me in the Welland Tribune paper. The following is my reply showing this befuddled "Catholic" woman what REAL Catholic teaching is all about (although, I am not Catholic but evangelical protestant):

LETTER TO THE EDITOR (Welland Tribune)

In response to the letter by Ms MaryAnn Notarianni (June 23/03), I will once again keep the debate on homosexuality and "same-sex marriage" civil, respectful and truthful.

As a history teacher with an M.A in history, I have been trained to do thorough research on a subject before writing on it. Thus, I researched the Bible and quoted passages from it to prove that Jesus, founder of Christianity, clearly taught that marriage was only between one man and one woman to the exclusion of others. Yet, Ms Notarianni personally insults me by calling me "an ignorant man".Then she proceeds to reveal her ignorance by mentioning, increduously, she is a "Roman Catholic" who was taught "marriage is the union of two people" She does not give any documented proof of this incredible assertion.

Well, let us find out what the Catholic Church really thinks about this. The Pope, the head of the Church, has consistently opposed homosexuality and its agenda. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops wrote a forceful letter on June 19/03 to Jean Chretien against "same-sex marriage." The Catholic Catechism (1997), the teaching of the Church, says this on homosexuality:

"Homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved."

Sounds clear to me. Except to Ms Notarianni, who claims to be Catholic yet does not obey clear Catholic teaching. Instead, she wishes to re-write the Bible and teaching of the Catholic Church to suit her own leftist-liberal-secular-humanistic agenda.

Yours sincerely,

Finally, I would appreciate your prayers. I would also appreciate your moral and financial support to help me fight the good fight:

I would much appreciate your help by pledging your support below. Please remember this support is VOLUNTARY and NOT a requirement for my service. Please give out of the goodness of your heart and as the spirit moves you (those who have already given, please ignore this plea).

Thank you and God bless.

Donations of any size are much needed and greatly appreciated.
