Inge's Comments: You, too, can make a difference by making your voice heard. There is power in numbers. The grassroots - the citizens who are have to absorb the fallout of corporate blunders - must show themselves more powerful than the boardroom. If you are as incensed as I am, please sign the petition -found on the website given below - demanding that this professor be re-instated..

As long as corporations like Monsanto are able to exercise this kind of dictatorial pressure on universities, no honest scientist is safe, and "official science" is increasingly nothing more than the propaganda, lies, and cover-ups needed to implement the ruthless and dangerous agendas of the corporate boardrooms, where "ethics and integrity" seem to be absent from their vocabulary.

As long as THE TRUTH cannot be disclosed without retribution, accurate information will become as rare and as dead as the dodo bird, and free access to truthful information will become non-existent. "Official Education" and Media Releases become indoctrination rather than the dissemination of information for the acquiring of knowledge and the gaining wisdom. i.h.

EMANDING A REVIEW OF
DR. IGANCIO CHAPELA'S TENURE DENIAL

Dear Friend,

A well-respected and popular professor at the University of California in Berkeley has been fired after publishing a scientific paper regarding the uncontrolled contamination of irreplaceable native Mexican corn varieties by genetically engineered corn. Dr. Ignacio Chapela, whose corn contamination article was published in the science journal "Nature," was denied his tenure due to pressure from the biotech company Monsanto on the University (the UC Berkeley tenure review panel had actually voted almost unanimously to approve his tenure). Professor Chapela has been told to have his office cleaned out by December 31.

Sign a petition to demand a review of Dr. Chapela's tenure denial.
