The industry as a whole looks bad when the FDA publisizes these letters
Very recently, the FDA has sent a large number of warning letters to
manufacturers and retailers regarding diet/carb blocker/weight loss
products structure/function claims. The FDA is searching company websites
in this enforcement activity. The FDA is rejecting structure/function
claims previously considered acceptable by prudent industry standards.
