CAROLYN:
I generally don't think much good about any medical trade association,
particularly the AMA. However, there is one allopathic group that gets my
undying respect and loyalty. It is the AAPS. This group HATES the AMA,
believes in health freedom for both patients and docs and has put their
money where their mouth is regarding getting and keeping the government off
everyone's backs. Their lawsuits are legendary.
Cathy sent me a link to their medical journals. (The old one, Medical
Sentinal, as well as their new one.) There were several articles of
interest on the ones she sent me and I suggest that when you have some
spare time (sure...just like I have) you rummage through the archives of
this fine organization.
I want to direct you to the second website below about harassment of
MDs. It seems they've got a slew of info and my thought here is that you
and Trueman might see a pattern of harassment that you might want to tie
into your case in Canada. I do know with certainty that when the
Federation of State Medical Licensing Boards gets some policy established,
we see a spate of new bills, a list of docs being drawn and quartered all
up and down the pike and it is so obvious that we are talking about within
a 12 month period. So....while your sugar project may have put you on a
watch list, whatever else they dug up however fabricated is probably a
pattern you can see in other MD harassment problems. These folks may also
have some info about Canadian docs who have been ground up.
